This is not an article where I sit down and think for a long time about what I want to write. This is more an article that is a summation of what I've thought about some things for a long time. It may be a rant, it may be a glorfied excuse to throw a hissy-fit, but I know it's something I've wanted to talk about for a while. So if you're interested in my inner thoughts on critique in general, then stick with me after the jump.
I'm definitely not the first guy to be super excited for the new Legend of Zelda game. In fact, I was actually quite late in hopping on the hype train. Something about the game's initial parameters struck me as odd and possibly alienating. But ever since the VGA's, where a new trailer was revealed, something about it made me relieved. Not only that, but I now I find myself in full-force hype mode for this game. Read why after the jump.
It's pretty common in the world of anime critique to see shows that are obviously bottom of the barrel. Chivalry of a Failed Knight probably had some of the worst and most bleak first two episodes I had seen. But the weird part is that, it actually got better after that. Not only that, but it almost became not terrible. Find out just how after the jump.
Welp, had this blog for a couple months, time to get a little ballsy. One Piece, compared to the other two of the Big Three, seemingly has more going for it. Unfortunately, that lends to a lot of people considering it to be unfaltering and perfect. While I do like the show, I can't help but notice the nuances and problems that persist with this juggernaut of a series. Read how after the jump.
One of the heavy hitters for this season comes in the form of Yuri!!! on ICE. The tale of a men's figure skater fighting to be on top again, Yuri Katsuki finds his way with his new superstar coach Viktor Nikiforov. So what do I think of it? It's...pretty okay, and pretty gay. More after the jump.
The original Titanfall was one of the sleeper hits of 2014. Despite lacking a single-player campaign and variety in multiplayer, it was a fantastic shooter on its own. How does the sequel Titanfall 2 stack up? Forget best shooter of the year, I've decided to call it one of the best shooters period. More after the jump.
It's no lie that gaming and the gaming community have become a little touchy. With every mistake in quality in a AAA title, the Internet isn't far behind making their customary claims of ethics and advertisement. Oddly enough, I find myself as strangely complacent to almost every controversy that's come out from the past few years. Click here to find out why.
