My Anime List of 2016: Part 1

My Anime List of 2016: Part 1

The year is over and done, and with it came a lot of great and not-so-great anime. Although I was not able to watch everything, I would like to talk about the different ones I managed to see. However, this list is too big, so Part 1 will be for Winter and Spring, and Part 2 will be for Summer and Fall! Hit the jump to find out my thoughts on everything I watched for Winter and Spring of 2016!

Whispered Words [Sasameki Koto] – SOAN SPOTLIGHT!

Whispered Words [Sasameki Koto] – SOAN SPOTLIGHT!

Well, time for the last article of 2016! With 30 minutes to spare! This article is about a manga-turned-anime that I had just found out had become an anime about 5 hours ago. Watching the first few episodes, not only do I find it more entertaining than I figured, but also a very romantic and dramatic take for an unrequited love between two girls. More after the jump!

Yuri Plisetsky is Better than Yuri Katsuki – Here’s Why

Yuri Plisetsky is Better than Yuri Katsuki – Here’s Why

I don't typically do more than one article on a particular subject, but this is one I've thought about for a while. Being the apparent highlight of the season for most people, Yuri on ICE!!! continues to captivate others in its final episodes. Unfortunately for me, the anime has gone from decent to sub-standard. But one of its saving graces is also a point against the anime, and that is Yuri Plisetsky just being a more interesting character than Yuri Katsuki. More after the jump.

The Art of Corruption. How Bernie Shows the Most Powerful Form of Story-Telling.

The Art of Corruption. How Bernie Shows the Most Powerful Form of Story-Telling.

Get ready for an even weirder article. Not only is it my first time doing an article on a movie, but it's also on one that hardly anyone actually knows. But don't let the unusual casting fool you, because Bernie showcases my favorite form of Story-Telling, the careful and precise Art of Corruption. More after the jump.

How Chivalry of a Failed Knight was Almost Not Terrible (Kind of)

How Chivalry of a Failed Knight was Almost Not Terrible (Kind of)

It's pretty common in the world of anime critique to see shows that are obviously bottom of the barrel. Chivalry of a Failed Knight probably had some of the worst and most bleak first two episodes I had seen. But the weird part is that, it actually got better after that. Not only that, but it almost became not terrible. Find out just how after the jump.

Titanfall 2 (Xbox One) Review – Standby for Greatness

Titanfall 2 (Xbox One) Review – Standby for Greatness

The original Titanfall was one of the sleeper hits of 2014. Despite lacking a single-player campaign and variety in multiplayer, it was a fantastic shooter on its own. How does the sequel Titanfall 2 stack up? Forget best shooter of the year, I've decided to call it one of the best shooters period. More after the jump.
