Yep, yet ANOTHER article on Yuri on ICE. But I swear I have a good reason this time, since Crunchyroll's first ever Anime Awards ended up being butchered by popular vote, especially when it came to categories that Yuri on ICE was nominated in. With its runaway success, I would like to take a moment to explain why I did not like the anime as much as others. In fact, I found it rather lacking in multiple departments. I don't get to review a whole lot of dark stuff, mostly because most dark stuff nowadays is also really bad. But what's not bad is a manga from Mouri Koji known as Suicide Island. This manga is graphic, gratuitous, and all -in-all a very raw tale of failed suiciders learning to survive on a deserted island. More after the jump.
Well, time for the last article of 2016! With 30 minutes to spare! This article is about a manga-turned-anime that I had just found out had become an anime about 5 hours ago. It's pretty common in the world of anime critique to see shows that are obviously bottom of the barrel. Chivalry of a Failed Knight probably had some of the worst and most bleak first two episodes I had seen. But the weird part is that, it actually got better after that. Not only that, but it almost became not terrible. Find out just how after the jump.
Although it took an extremely questionable amount of time to get here, the Final Battle between Naruto and Sasuke is fought. Between the blood-spilling fist fights and the surprising philosophical undertones, The Final Battle is definitely a fight that does not disappoint. Read more after the jump.
Re:ZERO has been the subject of a ton of analyses and discussions, so I figured I'd throw my hat into the ring. But this won't be about Subaru's torture or of best girl Rem, it's about the unquestioning fear and anxiety brought about by the series villain Satella, the Jealous Witch. Also, ANIME SPOILER WARNING, SO BE CAREFUL.
